I recently had to use an old hardware board at work. Turns out it still had an old UIQ image in its memory (must be from ye olde Symbian Software Ltd. days).
This takes me back. UIQ 3.x was used by Sony Ericsson and Motorola back in the day. I’m not sure any 3.3 products ever made it to market though. Pity.

did they say if it was java or native?

I just assumed it would be native and therefore didn’t ask specifically. However, given the level of integration with the OS this kind of app would require and the fact they have different versions for S60 and UIQ I’m pretty sure it is a native app.
